Susan Grutza is a Senior Policy Counsel at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Office of Fair Lending and Equal Opportunity. She joined the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in 2020 where she works to support the Bureau’s efforts to fulfill its responsibilities to ensure fair, equitable and nondiscriminatory access to credit for consumers and communities. Formerly, Susan served as a consumer law attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York and more recently as an attorney with the U.S. Air Force JAG Corps. Susan graduated from Stony Brook University’s School of Social Welfare and received her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law.
