2020 Equality Index - Hispanic White

The Hispanic-White Equality Index 2020, produced by the National Urban League, is a pivotal document highlighting the state of racial equality between Hispanic and white Americans. Standing at 78.8%, the Index reveals that Hispanics in 2020 lacked about 21% of the "equality pie" compared to their white counterparts. This gap underscores the ongoing disparities in key areas such as economics, health, education, social justice, and civic engagement.

The Index employs nationally representative statistics to generate sub-indices for these categories, reflecting the comparative status of Hispanics to whites. Each category's weight contributes to the overall Equality Index, offering a comprehensive view of the progress and challenges in achieving racial equality.
